Mike Duggan, CEO of Detroit Medical Center, has announced he will resign, effective Dec. 31, according to a report by the Detroit Free Press.
Earlier in October, Mr. Duggan cut his hours and salary in order to explore running for mayor. He is expected to make an announcement about his possible candidacy at the end of the year, according to the report.
Joe Mullany, DMC's president, will replace Mr. Duggan as CEO on Jan. 1.
