EHR vendor eClinicalWorks is expanding its presence with the addition of two new office buildings, one in Austin, Texas, and one in the company's headquarters of Westborough, Mass.
The company today opened its newest office location in Austin, adding the Texan city to its list of offices in New York City, Chicago, Alpharetta, Ga., and Pleasanton, Calif. The Austin office will assist eClinicalWorks' clients located in the southern part of the country. Additionally, the new office will employ approximately 50 people.
eClinicalWorks also bought a new office in Westborough, Mass., to serve as an expansion facility of it's existing headquarters, according to a Boston Business Journal report.
The new facility is approximately five minutes away from the existing corporate headquarters and will employ approximately 1,000 more people.
The company purchased the property for $21.5 million and plans to spend an additional $30 million on building it out, according to the report.
CEO Girish Navani told Boston Business Journal he is optimistic about the future of the company, which is reflected in its expansion. "I've invested in three business lines in the company in the last 24 months… We're very optimistic that it's not just EHRs, but population health, revenue cycle management and patient engagement. We're expanding internationally, and if you do that your headquarters still need to expand," he said.
