The following health IT vendor contracts and go-lives were announced within the last week.
1. Arkansas Heart Hospital and Arkansas Urology in Little Rock launched Pingmd at their clinics across the state to allow patients and physicians to communicate via secure text messages.
2. Essex Inpatient Physicians based in Boxford, Mass., selected gEHRiMed's EHR platform.
3. Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing, which administers Medicaid and Child Health Plan Plus programs, selected eQHealth Solutions to provide prior authorization request services.
4. Kettering (Ohio) Health Network plans to integrate NARxCHECK into its Epic EHR to provide real-time analysis on prescription practices.
5. The Reno Sparks Tribal Health Center, a health clinic tribally owned and operated that is situated near the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony near Reno, Nev., selected NextGen Healthcare's solutions, including its ambulatory EHR, practice management and electronic dental record solutions.
6. The Hawaii Pacific Oncology Center at Hilo (Hawaii) Medical Center implemented MEDITECH's Oncology 6.0x EHR, making it the ninth and final clinic in Hilo Medical Center's outpatient clinics to adopt the EHR.
7. Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, Miss., plans to upgrade its EHR system to MEDITECH's 6.1 Web Ambulatory solution.
