A new Holiday Inn on the campus of the Cleveland Clinic is set to open May 8, according to Cleveland.com.
The glass-enclosed Holiday Inn Cleveland Clinic, which stands nine stories high and contains 276 rooms, will give patients of the clinic and their families an affordable alternative to other higher-end Cleveland hotels, such as the InterContinental Cleveland and the InternContinental Suites. Rooms at the new Holiday Inn will start at about $100 per night, according to the report.
The hotel is equipped with "all the bells and whistles," according to Campbell Black, regional director of operations and general manager of the InterContinental Hotels Group, which owns the Holiday Inn brand. It will house a Moce Café and Bar, a full restaurant and bar; a lobby that will also function as a gathering space for guests; a fitness room; pool; and outdoor patio with fire pits. The rooms each have free wireless Internet access, 43-inch flat screen TVs, Keurig coffee makers and local artwork, according to the report.
The Holiday Inn Cleveland Clinic is intended to fill the void left by the closure of the Cleveland Clinic Guesthouse in 2013, which was demolished to make room for the new Cleveland Clinic-Case Western Reserve University medical education campus, according to the report.
