Five healthcare systems based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area last month announced the launch of a joint accountable care organization, comprised of 42 hospitals, 72 outpatient facilities, more than 1,300 primary care physicians and more than 4,100 specialists.
The following five systems joined the ACO, named Forward Health Partners.
- Children's HealthSM
- Cook Children's
- Methodist Health System
- Texas Health Resources
- UT Southwestern Medical Center
Each of the five systems will be equally represented in governance. Together, the systems aim to improve health outcomes, improve access to care, coordinate care in a clinically integrated network, securely share patient data and lower the cost of care.
